The Pentalver organization is committed to ensuring the Health, Safety and Welfare of all its employees. Safe Systems of Work are in place and understood by all concerned, and these are amended as necessary to reflect best practice. We believe the three key pillars of Health and Safety are:

Awareness
Ensuring all our colleagues have an awareness and understanding of Health and Safety hazards and risks that affect our business

Competence
Ensuring all our colleagues have the competence to undertake their work with minimum risk to Health and Safety

Compliance
Ensuring we are always in compliance with legislation, and our own internal benchmarks of Health and Safety

The most effective Health and Safety systems are those that are integrated with the other aspects of the Company’s management systems. This approach ensures that Health and Safety is taken into account appropriately, at the right time, and in the planning, management and monitoring of the organisation’s activities.

This approach is also a key part of the creation of a 'Safety Culture' and most effective as part of our Company’s approach to optimising the use of its self-discipline by those with responsibilities.

In addition, Pentalver also employs four RTITB-accredited lift truck instructors. We find this to be the most efficient way of ensuring that all the appropriate staff are trained in the correct use of counterbalance container handling equipment and fork-lift vehicles.
