The current Pentalver road fleet consists of almost 250 tractor units and 400 trailers operated by our dedicated transport teams within our Southampton and Cannock facilities. We are also an approved DSCOM (Defence Supply Chain Operations and Movements) haulier.

All vehicles in our road fleet are manufactured either by Scania or ERF/MAN, and are equipped with Euro 4 or 5 engines. Vehicles are replaced on a rolling schedule ensuring a young, reliable fleet. A variety of trailers are available including skeletals, 20ft/40ft sliders, combi-trailers (splits into two 20ft trailers), low-loaders, semi-low-loaders, flatbeds, curtain-side and pipe carrying trailers. Other types of trailer are obtainable with prior notice. ADR-trained drivers are available for all classes except 7 (radioactive).

Our tractor units are maintained in-house at our own workshop facilities manned by our team of fitters. Trailers are either serviced in-house, or by third-party, manufacturer-approved facilities.

During construction of our Cannock operation, we worked closely with VOSA (Vehicle & Operator Services Agency) to incorporate an approved MOT / VOSA testing lane into our workshops.
