Pentalver roar to success with second Longleat Lion delivery

Pentalver were delighted to once again manage the inland transportation of a second lion making its way to Longleat.

When Pentalver originally transported the first lion sculpture, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the safari park, Longleat announced their intention to commission another bronze lion sculpture which will be a permanent fixture alongside the real lions of Longleat and we were delighted to be approached by our customer Tigers Global Logistics (www.go2tigers.com) to once again be involved in such a fantastic project.

Pentalver helped provide the removal of the Lion from its crate to ensure the sculpture would be legally allowed to travel by road and transported by our own specialist haulage team on their low loader. The lion sculpture was unloaded from a flat rack before the crate was removed in Tilbury and the Lion was then secure to be transported to its new home at Longleat.

The dedicated Pentalver Specialist Haulage team are very experienced and trusted in handling such unusual cargo. Carl Wheeler, Specialist Haulage Transport Planner commented on the second sculpture delivery “it was another exciting project to be involved with and the size of the project created some potential issues, but the specialist team managed to organise the project well in order to provide a successful delivery and a happy end result”.

Pentalver are exhibiting at Multimodal 2018 and would be happy to discuss any potential requirements we can help with!
