Drivers of any vehicle type carrying dangerous commodities commercially, have to by law hold an ADR drivers Certificate.
Rationale
Drivers of any vehicle type carrying dangerous commodities commercially, have to by law hold an ADR* drivers Certificate. (ADR Licence). This allows drivers to carry dangerous goods on public highways. The Certificate is valid for 5 years from date of issue.
* ADR = The European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road
There are several courses that make up the entire qualification:
- Initial Course comprising of; Core, common characteristics, Packages and Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9.
- 3 days classroom followed by 5 examinations
- Tank and Tanker module covering all classes carried in tanks. 1 day classroom followed by an examination
The delivery of the courses and modules are subject to meticulous verification and strict requirements of the awarding body which is SQA (Scottish Qualification Authority).
We can deliver courses at any Pentalver Training Facility, or your premises providing they are registered with SQA more than 7 days before commencement of the course.
All courses carry with them full drivers CPC accreditation** allowing candidates to accrue CPC hours for their attendance.

All candidates must hold a valid driver’s license.
